Some friends of the Greens take part in the attempt of the artists to save the shop «Рыба» («The Fish») at 26, Karl Marx Street in Minsk. In Karl Marx Street there are no other small shops left. But there are a great number of expensive boutiques and luxury shops.
One of the Greens friends, who participates in the action said: «In fact, the city center is becoming just for the rich people. This urban revolution spoils the democratic style of the city. «The Fish» is the only place left for people who don't have much money but they like communicating in the pleasant surroundings, in the atmosphere of youth, a student, an alternative. Actually, artists often gather there. The authors of the declaration call men of letters, artists to dedicate their work of art to the shop or some specimen of the fish world. And afterwards they plan to publish the collection of the works. It will become a compelling argument in the defense of the shop.
